We believe a healthy smile starts with a great beginning!
Your child’s first visit to our office is important. It is important for children to develop healthy habits of going to the dentists regularly, and ensuring they have a great experience is something we care a great deal about. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
By beginning with proper dental care and good habits early in life, we help ensure your child’s teeth stay healthy and shiny throughout their childhood. Going to the dentist shouldn’t be a traumatic experience, and with us it really isn’t!
That’s why these first visits should be as pleasant as possible, and the best way to ensure that is to communicate well with your dentist and ensure they know how to work with children. At our office, it’s a pleasure!
While we recognize some children are nervous about visiting the dentist, we have created a kid-friendly office environment that will make your child’s appointments enjoyable and stress-free.
Using the latest technology, our compassionate pediatric dentists offer comprehensive dental services for kids including X-rays, sealants, fluoride treatments, fillings, cleanings and regular exams to promote a lifetime of healthy smiles.
Fortunately, the techniques used are much more advanced than those that were used decades ago, and the chance of an unpleasant experience is minimal. Procedures hurt very little nowadays, if at all, so even if you, as an adult, have horror stories to tell from your childhood – rest assured, it really is no big deal these days.
We welcome all children into our practice starting at the age of 1. The earliest visits will include education on caring for your new child’s teeth as they erupt and the schedule at which tooth eruption will occur.
We advise you to schedule regular dental checkups, as it’s good for your child to set a routine that they will adhere to. It is something you should be doing yourself anyway, as any dental problems are easiest to deal with if they’re detected as early as possible. That’s why dentists recommend visiting at least once a year, but in the case of young children once every six months is preferred. That way you’ll always know if everything’s alright, and if it isn’t, it can be fixed at once, painlessly and cost effectively.
Pediatric Dentistry covers kids of all ages from age 1 to 18.
